Welcome to Pencil Cottage in Shanklin. This wonderfully quaint tea room is a fine example of quintessentially English charm and friendliness. Set behind the cottage and overlooking Chine Hollow, their garden has been described by customers as 'an oasis of tranquillity'. There are two patio areas and the lovely indoor garden room for those days when the sunshine is being rationed! The menu offers homemade fayre, and everything is made fresh to order from a wide range of local produce (including fabulous locally caught crab!). A visit to the garden would not be complete without sampling one of their speciality cream teas, made with freshly baked homemade scones, a generous helping of clotted cream and their very own homemade jam with fresh strawberries on the side!
